American Board

The Board celebrates a successful meeting

The Board of Directors of the Awareness Foundation in America met on Thursday the 23rd September 2010. The Board discussed at length their strategy to distribute the Awareness Course in the United States and Canada, including advertising and using multimedia tools. The Board also discussed the fund-raising plan which would secure funding for the new post of Director (America) for three years. During the meeting the Board elected Mr. Chris Bunting as their new Chairman; he succeeds the founding Chairman, Fr. Andrew Sloane, who is stepping down to take a sabbatical. The Board members unanimously thanked Fr. Sloane for his great commitment, for hosting the Foundation's office at his church, and for adopting the Awareness Course as the educational programme of his church.

The Board also welcomed our FCO Joyce Hoyle, who had kindly volunteered to help the Foundation to manage its finances; the Board members expressed their gratitute to her for her effort and work.

The members of the Board welcomed the Rev. Susan Auchincloss and Mr. Stuart Auchincloss, great supporters of the Foundation for years, as special visitors. The Board agreed to appoint Stuart as Vice Chairman to help the Foundation achieving its goals in America.

The Board meeting was extremely positive and fruitful. The members agreed unanimously to continue developing the work of the Foundation in America in every way, especially supporting the effort to appoint a full-time Director.
