The Awareness Foundation and The Higher Islamic Shiite Council in Lebanon (Representation of Britain), in collaboration with Adyan, invite you to attend a special screening of “Aaks Al Seir - Together to curb extremism" at The Library, Kingston House North, Prince’s Gate London SW7 1LN at 7:00pm on Thursday 24th November 2011 (refreshments from 6.30 pm).
Aaks Al Sier is a powerful, inspiring short film (running time 40 minutes) that highlights acts of faith in the face of extremism. The film focusses on the positive role played by four prominent Arab religious leaders (two Christians and two Muslims) and demonstrates how faith can bring reconciliation and harmony to the communities of the Middle East.
After the film there will be Question & Answer Session with the Revd Nadim Nassar, Director of the Awareness Foundation, and Sayed Wissam Tarhini of the Higher Islamic Shiite Council.
Tickets are £5 each and can be bought when you arrive.
The film was shown previously at the Humanitarian Dialogue Foundation and at St. George’s Bloomsbury in Central London. Those present at the screenings were very moved by what they saw and encouraged the Foundation to organise another showing of this film on a much larger scale, hence the special screening in November.
Some of those who attended the screening at St. George's Bloomsbury can be seen below, including the Revd Nadim Nassar and Sayed Wissam Tarhini.
