16 Dec A Christmas Message from HRH The Countess of Wessex
Virtual Christmas Drink
In the presence of our Royal Patron
HRH The Countess of Wessex
Thursday 10 December 2020 was an incredibly special day for the Awareness Foundation. In this difficult and challenging time, we were able to join together from all over the world to celebrate the journey of God to us. Friends, supporters, members of all our boards and volunteers came together for a virtual Christmas Drink in the presence of our dear Royal Patron HRH the Countess of Wessex. We had the pleasure and the honour to be with her and listen to her moving and encouraging message to continue our ministry worldwide and especially in Syria and Iraq. She is a wonderfully bright, gracious and engaging leader who works to empower young women and men – and to care for children. We are grateful that she is supportive of our ministries in the Near East.
Our friends from so many countries joined us including UK, USA, Canada, Hong Kong, Syria, Lebanon, Jordan, Palestine, Mexico and Finland. We also enjoyed some fantastic live music performed by two international Syrian musicians Riyad Nicola and Mariela Shaker. It was a fun evening with lovely music, as well as a toast for the Advent and Christmas seasons and for the ministries of the Awareness Foundation.
The two virtual events were hosted by Huda Nassar, Director of the Middle East, and by Awareness founder and Executive Director The Reverend Dr Nadim Nassar, joined by International Board Chair James Appleyard of Toronto, the Revd Donald Fishburne, the President of Awareness Foundation America, Bob Davies, the Chair of the Awareness Foundation Committee in Canada and The Revd Habib Badr the Chair of the Board of Consultants in the Near East.
We are so grateful to her and all our friends and supporters for their love and commitment to the mission and vision of the Awareness Foundation. Without their support and love, we would never be able to continue our ministry.
