Awareness Sunday

Each year, Awareness Sunday acts as a call to people of faith to make a fresh commitment to foster peace in our communities through education and building bridges with our neighbours.

This year, we shall be marking Awareness Sunday on Sunday 16th September. All are invited to mark Awareness Sunday according to their own traditions and beliefs, such as Awareness Friday or Awareness Shabbat.

Awareness Sunday Special Service

Our special Awareness Sunday Service in 2018 took place at Holy Trinity Sloane Square at 11.00 am on 16th September 2018.

The Awareness Sunday Prayer

“Merciful and loving God, We come before You with humility and faith, confessing to you that we have failed to live in harmony and love. We come to You today to celebrate Awareness Sunday/Shabbat/Friday, recognising that You created us in Your image and You enriched us through our diversity. Help us, Lord, to overcome our inadequacies and empower us to love You and our neighbours as You would want us to do. Open our hearts and minds to your presence, and make us ambassadors for peace and reconciliation in our wounded world. Hear our prayers and send us out to be examples of mercy and service, united in You.
Amen.”
